Thomas J. Seefred Trust Scholarship

History:
The Thomas J. Seefred Scholarship was established in 2005 with funding generated by the Thomas J. Seefred Trust. Its purpose is to award scholarships for college students between the ages of 18 and 25 who suffer from Juvenile Diabetes and are pursuing a bachelor’s degree. |

Award:
Each recipient maybe awarded up to $3,000 to be used for expenses such as tuition, fees, room and board during the academic year. Please note that preference will be given to residents of Mahoning, Trumbull, or Columbiana counties. |

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria: - 18-25 years old at time of application - Diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes - Successfully completing a standard curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree at an accredited junior college, college or university. This intends the individual be attending college on a full-time basis. Current high school students are not eligible. - Must be in good academic standing |

Awards will be based on academic promise, personal statement, recommendations, and financial need |

Deadline:
Applications must be postmarked by April 1 to be considered
for the upcoming school year. No
late applications will be considered. |

Notification: Scholarship recipients will be notified via mail by
July 1. Only
those selected to receive scholarships will be contacted. |
